Notice (EU)

Information for users in the European Union about dispute resolution notices and related mandatory trader statements.

This page should be reviewed country by country. EU member states may require additional consumer arbitration wording, competent body references, and language-specific notices depending on your sales model.

Consumer dispute resolution statement

If you offer goods or services to consumers in the EU, publish a clear statement explaining whether you are willing or obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer ADR body.

Replace this paragraph with your actual policy and, where required, identify the competent arbitration board or national dispute resolution body.

European ODR platform status

The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on July 20, 2025. Older notices that refer only to the ODR platform are outdated and should be revised.

If you previously linked only to the ODR platform, replace that reference with current ADR information and any national trader notice that applies to your business.

Useful EU resources

The European Commission now points users to the Consumer Redress portal and to national or sector-specific ADR bodies instead of the former ODR platform.
